The town hall consists of several buildings from different periods, the oldest of which dates back to the early 14C. The ornate façade of the old apothecary shop features sculpted portraits of ten famous philosophers and physicians, from Aristotle to Paracelsus. Around 1670, brutal witch trials were held under the central arcades.
