The exceptional collection put together by the founder of this ceramics museum is regularly enriched by the results of excavations carried out in the region. Apart from the magnificent pieces of textile and jewellery of the Sicán and Chimú cultures, the Museo arqueológico nacional Brüning contains one of the finest collections of Mochica ceramics on very varied themes. The pieces are of rare delicacy and most are also very realistic and expressive.
