The Redonda and Limón Lagoons, two shallow inland bodies of water are home to an ecosystem of red, white and black mangroves. This protected nature site attracts many water birds, some of which are endangered species. From Montaña Redonda, between the two lagoons, you can see the bay of Samaná.
