Charles and Marie-Laure de Noailles commissioned this decidedly modern winter villa from the French architect, Robert Mallet-Stevens. Completed ten years later, the villa became a meeting place for avant-garde artists: Giacometti, Cocteau, Picasso, Dali, Bunuel and Man Ray were often guests. It remains a lively place, still at the forefront of design, fashion, photography and architecture, through its temporary exhibitions. The villa also has a remarkable Cubist garden designed by Gabriel Guévrékian.
