Dominating Piazza della Signoria, this imposing Gothic building has a majestic façade. At the top of its staircase is the immense Salone (hall), where popular assemblies were held; to the side, the Museo Comunale is home to the "Eugubine Tables", bronze tablets engraved with ancient Umbrian text (2C-1C BC) explaining the political structure and certain religious practices in the region during Antiquity.
