Leopold III of Babenberg had a castle built (destroyed in 1529) on this high promontory in the Viennese forest (alt. 423m). The spur commands a sweeping view over the multi-coloured incineration plant designed by Hundertwasser, in the foreground, and over the Little Carpathians of Slovakia and as far as the snowy peaks of Lake Neusiedl. The viewing platform is also the site of a 3D-map of Vienna in 1683 and a monument to war veterans.
