While the current edifice may be a 12C Romanesque church, St Oyand Crypt was part of a cruciform funeral church dating from the early 6C. A rare survivor of the High Middle Ages, it underwent alterations up until the 19C. The new museography (illumination of the ruins, 3D reconstruction of the different architectural phases, etc) provides an insight into the developments over the centuries and takes visitors back in time through almost 2 000 years of history.
