One of the best ways to visit the Rocky Mountains, the Georgetown Loop Railroad offers 1hr train excursions all year round, departing from an historic train depot. The track runs for 7km/4.5mi between Georgetown and Silver Plume (another 19C mining town) and includes a 360° loop on an elevated bridge spanning Clear Creek.
