The East of Madeira

La opinión de la Guía Michelin
The east coast of Madeira is a patchwork of landscapes. Between Caniço and Machico, the sun-drenched coast has attracted numerous hotel resorts. Inland, around Santo Antonio, nature once again takes over, carpeting the terrain in a dark green mantle. However, the most spectacular scenery can be seen at the easternmost tip of the island, at the São Lourenço headland, whose red and ochre peninsula encroaches into the ocean like the bowsprit of a huge stone caravel.
