From the gardens beyond the Classical house there are superb views over the park, Falmouth and out to sea. The woodland dropping down to the river has a variety of trees, shrubs, perennials and exotic plants. Spacious areas of lawn feature summer flowering shrubs, in particular: hydrangeas (around 130 varieties), azaleas and rhododendrons. The Cornish Apple Orchard was created to preserve as many varieties of local apple as possible.
