Half-quayside museum, established in a fine 19C tobacco warehouse, and half-floating museum, this centre was created by the locals to uphold the living memory of this port city. Displays include huge panoramas, slide shows, scale models, paintings, engravings, tools and audio extracts, together with three quayside boats hosting themed exhibitions: Le Sandettie (1947), a fine example of a lightship, the Guilde barge (1929), and the Duchesse Anne (1901), a superb three-master.
