Built between 1770 and 1775 to house the offices of the State of Saxony, this Baroque palace is now home to a museum dedicated to the history of Dresden from its foundation in the 13C. Its most striking section is the one which retraces the Nazi period and the apocalyptic destruction of the city in 1945.
