The collection includes porcelain from Japan and China acquired by Augustus the Strong alongside unique porcelain from the legendary Meissen factory; the famous "dragon vases" are particularly impressive. Note also the life-size porcelain figures of animals from Meissen (first half of the 18C), as well as the room dedicated to Böttger, who introduced the manufacture of hard porcelain to Europe in 1708 after having produced pottery or "red porcelain".
