The pleasant Regency-style Waterloo Crescent promenade by Phillip Hardwick endows Dover with a touch of elegance. From here, head to the Dover Museum and then St Mary the Virgin, built in the 12C and 13C. On New Street, the paintings in one of its oldest houses are of interest, while in Biggin Street you can admire the Classical-style Maison Dieu, with its triangular pediments.
