Formerly specialised in transporting exotic fruit, and for a long time France's number one port for importing bananas, Dieppe's commercial port eventually ceded to the competition from Le Havre and Anvers. Today, the port's major activity involves the transport of wind turbine blades, colza and fertiliser.
