Extensive archaeological research (traces of three successive colonies dating from the year 300 to 1 300 have been found) has enabled us to gain an understanding of the history of Eketorp fort. A large part of the exterior wall has been reconstructed here, and houses, barns and sheds are all open for visitors to explore. Finds from digs are exhibited in the museum, including everyday objects, jewellery and finely chiselled weapons.
