La opinión de la Guía Michelin
The Monasterio de Santa Catalina was founded in the 17C on the site of the acllahuasi (House of the Chosen Ones), where well-born young girls were locked away. They lived as recluses, worked, wove, prepared ceremonial beverages and generally remained at the disposal of the sovereign. Some parts of the convent, which today houses a dozen nuns, are open to visitors, and you can see a collection of religious art, colonial furnishings, decorative pieces and paintings by the Cuzco School.
