The château, a huge triangle covering over 2ha, looks harshly classical. But the interior decoration, the collection of tapestries and the furnishings (18C, First Empire and Second Empire) are well worth seeing. The stunning historical apartments and the Second Empire Museum present remarkable works and mementoes. The Imperial Theatre, on which work began under Napoleon III, was only actually inaugurated in 1991!
