This lively pedestrian shopping street has two of the few remainging half-timbered houses in Caen (nº 52 and nº 54): they date from the start of the 16C. Their decoration (sculptures, statuettes of the saints) - still predominantly in the Gothic style - includes some Renaissance elements (balustrades and medallions).
