The Puszta of Bugac ("Great Plain" in Hungarian), home to sandy dunes, high grass and coniferous trees, is the most visited section of Kiskunsági Nemzeti Park, a bio-reserve under the protection of UNESCO. It is the domain of mounted shepherds and carts which take visitors round on stony paths. Don't miss the horse show put on the by the csikós (horse herders).
