With villages among the highest in Europe (average alt. 2,200m/7,218ft), Queyras regional nature park has much to recommend it from wide open spaces to ancestral lifestyles. Grandiose in the region of its upper cirque, dominated by Mont Viso (3,841m/12,602ft), the Queyras and its four valleys (Arvieux, Guil, Ceillac and Molines/St-Véran) are bathed in Mediterranean sunlight.
