La opinión de la Guía Michelin
The River Daugava runs through 350km of Belarusian territory before reaching the Gulf of Riga. At the village of Koknese, a barrage was built across the river to generate electricity for the valley, submerging part of Koknese Castle (built in the early 13C). Today, different events are put on here (concerts, theatre performances) and, not far from the entrance, a pavilion houses an exhibition about the history of the site.
