This museum is home to some of the finest display cases in Europe, featuring indigenous and exotic birds and mammals (the animals are set in their natural habitat). Visitors may also be intrigued by the handsome collection of minerals from Alpine regions. The "Earth, planet and vital space" exhibit provides an opportunity to see a plateosauraus of Aargau, but Barry remains the museum's star attraction. This stuffed Saint Bernard dog, saved over forty lives during his long career in the mountains.
