Sidestep the modern pagoda to access the ancient Brahman temple built in 1027 (as per the inscription engraved on the eastern door. Ek Phnom temple was sorely damaged at the time of the Khmer Rouge and is now only accessible by passing under buttressing and scaffolding. You will find yourself in the main shrine that embodies the samudra manthran. Beyond the surrounding wall, at the end of the old moat, sits a colossal modern Buddha making the mudra sign of discussion.
