In the heart of the city, this vast animal park with an international reputation has become specialised in the breeding of endangered species. Covering some 27 acres, it is home to over 6,000 animals and 600 different species from all the continents. There are picnic areas, restaurants and a children's play area available to the public, who particularly enjoy the feeding times of the big cats and the sea-lions, as well making the acquaintance of the elephants.
