This palace was the home of the Counts of Barcelona and the kings of Aragon. The building, begun in the 11C-12C, was built against a Roman wall and reached its current size in the late 14C. In the 16C one of its wings was occupied by the Court of the Inquisition. The facade is immense with great arches back to back, joined with the buttresses.
