Santa Casa of Ignatius of Loyola

Guía Michelin
Monumento religioso
La opinión de la Guía Michelin
The family residence of St Ignatius (1491-1556) is next to the basilica and accomodated in the buildings of the sanctuary. On the first level, you can see the loopholes of the 15C tower, a vestige of the house where the saint once lived. Visitors can see the room where he was born and the room where he spent his convalescence and converted. A slide show presents the life of the saint and there are panels on the Company of Jesus, which he founded in 1534.
