This housing estate is named after Fugger the Rich who founded it in 1519 to house the town's poor. It is made up of 8 streets lined by 66 pretty gabled houses. The district has its own church and administrative buildings. Today, it welcomes the poor and needy just as it did in the 16C, charging them only a token rent, but putting them under the moral obligation to pray for the souls of the founders.
