The River Dender cuts across this beautiful park, the main feature of which is its 24m-high man-made rock, complete with underground passageways. The rock was built for the Archduchess Maria Christina of Austria, who ruled the Low Countries; the pavilion at the top was used by the archduchess as a hunting lodge.
