Located on the banks of Lake Öljaren, Julita Manor is home to Sweden's open-air Museum of Agriculture. The main building, Stora huset (1750), is as it was when it was occupied by its last owner, Arthur Bäckström (1861-1941). The grounds boast a rose garden, a belvedere and a former washhouse, subsequently converted into a guesthouse. Visitors can also admire a collection of horse-drawn carriages, a dairy, a brickyard, lime kiln, tobacco drying shed and a fire station.
