This building was designed by E Dieltiens in 1881. Behind its neo-Baroque façade, there lies a former hydroelectric plant. The accumulators were housed in the two towers. The building is now the headquarters of theatre group De Internationale Nieuwe Scène, and has become an international cultural centre (concerts, dance, theatre and exhibitions).
