This irregularly shaped square is dominated by the thin cathedral spire and lined by some lovely corporation buildings. The façades are almost entirely windowed, with a gable on top. To the right of the Town Hall, there are five unusual buildings - the House of the White Angel, the Coopers' House, the House of the Old Crossbow, which is very high and topped with a statue of St George on horseback, the House of the Young Crossbowmen and the House of the Haberdashers.
