The elaborate Roman villa of Els Munts, which was built in the 1C, is ideally located on a hill. This country residence, unlike town houses, was very spacious, with several gardens and two baths, one near the house and another on the beach, in addition to farm outhouses. Most of the villa's rooms were paved with coloured mosaics and the walls were covered in murals, some of which have been preserved.
