La opinión de la Guía Michelin
Between Alghero and Sassari, Meilogu, a land of plains, extinct volcanoes and high plateaux, has been inhabited since time immemorial. It houses the Valle dei Nuragi, where the Santu Antine nuraghe (megalithic beehive-shape constructions) and the domus de janas (tombs hewn out of the rock) of Sant'Andrea Priu are testament to the oldest human presence in the region. More recent, the Romanesque church, San Pietro di Sorres, is worth a visit.
