Guarded by the Sarrasine Tower (12C), the Grande Roche terrace, planted with ancient linden trees, looks out over the Combe de Savoie. In the distance, the long rocky masses of the Alpette and the Granier (Massif de la Chartreuse) close in on the horizon.
