Although its landscapes are reputed to be less spectacular than those of the other islands in the archipelago, despite some truly astonishing sites, it is on the other hand the most interesting in human terms, for its traditions (‘império’, running of the bulls...), its architecture and its festivals. An island to be experienced as much as visited, with the archipelago's most beautiful town as a starting point: Angra do Heroísmo.
