There are thirteen of them, even though they form just one long gorge; thirteen gorges separated by rocky masses and small rapids. The cruises on offer explore a choice of only two or three of them (you have to change boats between each one by walking along the riverbank), which already gives you a magnificent overview. When you discover the river from the Visitor Centre, there is nothing to suggest these high red cliffs.
