Setting off from Fruita, "the 24" passes through grandiose, wild and desert panoramas. Here and there, desert fortresses emerge from the landscape: huge rocks that, from afar, call to mind a surreal and impregnable fortified town. The road follows the Fremont Canyon, before entering a landscape of badlands of green, grey and yellow hues. On the horizon, on the right, you can see the Henry Mountains, then after Caineville, on the left, the elongated from of North Caineville Mesa.
