The 90s are back and so is JoJo—famed chef, Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s first New York restaurant. Like the very best face-lift, this transformation has rid the space of its former fuddy-duddy feel and replaced it with a fresh, contemporary backdrop that beckons moneyed residents.
Good taste never goes out of style and diners hoping for a little culinary nostalgia will be rewarded here. The menu isn’t groundbreaking (think: roast chicken and Maine lobster) but it is very well executed. The kitchen’s daily menu invites patrons to enjoy a different classic nightly, though some dishes including the Peekytoe crab dumplings, are always on offer.
