On arrival the large Gothic house set in secluded wooded parkland near the centre of the city set the scene for a special occasion. The service and atmosphere in the restaurant was efficient yet relaxed with the staff attentive but not overbearing. The tasting menu with wine pairing was chosen and the local seasonal menu began to arrive. The food from beginning to end was well presented and the flavours lived up to the artistry on the plate. The restaurant manager was attentive and friendly and on discovering our passion for good food introduced us to the head chef on completion of service who was both friendly and informative showing an obvious passion for his food. A great evening of dining comparable to more acclaimed restaurants in London.
