Owned by the same family since its construction in 1341, the Château d\'Urtubie is a fortified chateau enlarged and transformed in the 16th and 18th centuries. Louis XI stayed there in 1463, and lands were raised to viscounty by Louis XIV in 1654. Vast rooms with period furniture, located in the oldest part of the castle, haved been recently renovated and air-conditionned. Guests can enjoy the hotel swimming pool and tennis court, the nearby beaches and thalasso-therapy centers.
